Cheshire Twp., Allegan, MI, died Saturday, October 16, 2004 at Metron of Bloomingdale. Mrs. Pittsley was born September 17, 1938 in Kendall, MI, the daughter of Raymond and Marie (Disbro) Schmidt. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She had been employed at ACRDC for 14 years as a driver, and had worked at one of their homes. Surviving are 1 stepson, Thomas (Diane) Pittsley; 5 children, Bonnie Smith of Allegan, Dawn Pittsley of Fennville, John Pittsley of Pullman, Jim Pittsley of Otsego and Julie (Mike) Leonard of Allegan; 4 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 1 great grandson; 3 brothers, Orville (Peg) Schmidt and Richard Schmidt, both of Plainwell, and Ed (Pat) Schmidt of Otsego; 1 sister, Pauline (Lyle) Gomber of Baldwin; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 2001 and a step grandson. There will be no visitation. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21 at Lee Cemetery, Lee Twp. A Luncheon will follow the service at the Pullman V.F.W. Hall. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
