Frances P. Butcher, 79 of Plainwell, died Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo. Mrs. Butcher was born May 26, 1924 in Otsego, MI the daughter of James and Dorothy (Thorp) Stratton. Surviving are 3 children, Larry & Gay Butcher of Allegan, Karen & Mike Brooks of Gobles, Charlotte Burt of Grand Junction; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Genevieve Butcher of Gobles, Loretta Eichholz of Battle Creek. She was preceded in death by her husband Willard in 1998, 1 great granddaughter, and 2 sisters. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where services will be held Saturday 11:00 am. Pastor Stephen Burrow officiating. Interment Millgrove Cemetery, Valley Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
