Obituary

of Hopkins. Died Saturday, February 25, 2012. Age 94 years. She was born in Kaw City, Oklahoma on March 3, 1917, the daughter of the late John and Sarah (Weichman) Acker. She graduated from Kaw City High School. She was married to Paul McClung; he preceded her in death. She raised five children and helped Paul with his work in the oil fields. Surviving are her children, Duane McClung of Kalamazoo, Darrell (Caroline) McClung of Dorr, Paul (Kathy) McClung of Hopkins, Marlene (Dick) Fisher of Allegan, and Dana McClung of Dorr; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ruth Walker of Oklahoma, Marcella Wyatt of California, Marjie Rees of Idaho and Geraldine (John) Hood of California; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel. Graveside burial will take place at Kaw City Cemetery in Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
