RIKSEN, Florence V. Aged 87, of Monterey Twp., Allegan, MI, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002 at the Allegan County Medical Care Facility. Mrs. Riksen was born Nov. 8, 1914 in Hopkins, the daughter of William and Anna (VanDuine) Sebright. Her main interests were her family and church. She was a very active, life-long member of the Hopkins United Methodist Church and had served as organist for 39 years. She had graduated from County Normal and had worked as a school teacher and also the Hopkins Stock sales for many years. She loved to go on the Brenner Tours. Surviving are her husband, Willis; 2 children, Bill and Joan Riksen of Hopkins and Janice DeVries of Grandville; 1 son-in-law, Gordon and Rebecca Raymond of Hixson, TN; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 nieces and 2 nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kay Raymond, and 1 brother and 2 sisters. Friends may meet with the family from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel. Funeral services will be held Thursday, at 11 a.m. at the Hopkins United Methodist Church. Pastor Reva Daniel and Julia Austin officiating. Interment Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Twp.
