Allegan, MI, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003 at her home. Mrs. Nyhuis was born Feb. 11, 1919 in LeRoy, IN, the daughter of Oscar and Anna (Carlson) Anderson. She was a member of the Dunningville Reformed Church. Her family was very important and she especially loved all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are 4 children, Roger and Ann Nyhuis of Cincinnati, OH, Bob Nyhuis of Point Blank, TX; Dennis and Linda Nyhuis of Kalamazoo, and Carol and Bob Barber of Pleasantville, NY; 7 grandchildren, Christi and Chris Usher, Cindy and Scott Neifert, Christopher and Katie Nyhuis, Chantal and Steve Meisberger, Connie Nyhuis, Kevin Gibbs, and Sara Gibbs; 6 great grandchildren, Jordan, Trevor, Tyler, Austin, Brendan and Sarah; 3 sisters-in-law, Maxine Spaman of Allegan, Lavina and Harry Sammons of Hermann, MO, and Helen Anderson of Palm Harbor, FL; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jess, in 1996. Friends may meet with the family from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 27, at 11 a.m at the Dunningville Reformed Church. Pastor Tim TenClay officiating. Interment Overisel Cemetery, Overisel Twp.
