Florence B. Lauer, 78 of Allegan, died Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo. Mrs. Lauer was born March 22, 1926 in Detroit, MI the daughter of William and Myrtle (Smith) LeClaire. Surviving are 1 daughter, Linda Porter of Allegan; 1 stepson, Herman (Catherine) Lauer of Mt. Pleasant; 2 brothers, William (Dorothy) LeClair of Jamestown, KY and Edwin (Julia) LeClair of Manhattan, KS; 1 aunt, Eleanora Smith of Shelby Twp., MI; 3 step grandchildren of Mt. Pleasant; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husbands, Floyd Hackett and Herman Lauer; a son, Marvin (Buddy) Meeker; a sister-in-law, Fern LeClair; an aunt, Marion (Porter) Baas; an uncle, Albert Smith. A graveside service will be held Saturday 3:00pm at Woodlawn Cemetery, Curtis, MI. Arrangements by Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
