Fern M. Brown, 76 of Kalamazoo, died Saturday, November 29, 2003 at Alamo Nursing Home. Mrs. Brown was born January 1, 1927 in Allegan, MI the daughter of Frank and Anna (Connor) Thompson. Mrs. Brown had been employed at Parker-Hannifin for 21 years, retiring in 1999. Surviving are 4 children, William & Diane Brown of Nashville, TN, Matthew Brown of Phoenix, AZ, Beth Marr of Scotts, and Chris & Therese Brown of Ft. Wayne, IN; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Lawrence Brown of Allegan; 2 sisters, Thelma Smith of Allegan and Marian & Mike Smith of Allegan; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband William in 1971, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Where the funeral service will be held Thursday 11:00 am. Pastor Joseph Spackman officiating. Interment Hudson Corners Cemetery, Allegan Township.
