of Allegan, died Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the Allegan Country Estates. Mrs. Miller was born September 19, 1919, in Dorr, Michigan, the daughter of Herman and Elizabeth (Kromberg) Commans. Evelyn worked for the Allegan Public Schools at the High School Cafeteria for over 30 years, and loved her involvement with Life Long Learners. Surviving are her daughter, Gail and Alan Bourdo of Cedar Park, TX, her grandson, Shawn and Marcy Bourdo of Little Elm, TX, 3 great grandchildren; Christian, DeeDee, Caleb, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale, and 7 brothers and sisters. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 1 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Pastor Barry Lucas from the First Congregational Church will officiate. Private interment Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wings of Hope Hospice.
