Evelyn Ruth Tooker of Allegan passed away Friday, March 25, surrounded by her loving family. Evelyn was born October 14, 1932, to her late parents, John and Leta (Holland) Knobloch. After graduating from high school, she would marry her late husband, Paul Tooker, whom she shared an incredible 60 plus years of faithful marriage. Evelyn was a fierce woman of many talents and gifts. She worked consistently and diligently for Tru-Heat in Allegan where she retired after 21 years. Evelyn would also spend most of her spare time giving back to the community at Allegan General Hospital. She loved to serve friends, family, and strangers with an open heart. Her biggest love was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Taking care of them truly filled her heart with joy and peace. Evelyn is deeply missed and will continue to make a deep impact on the community in her absence. Evelyn is survived by her children, Janice (Dean) Hobbs and Dennis Tooker; her son-in-law, Gary Germain; her close family friend, Cheryl Harris; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Connie Germain. Friends may meet with the family on Friday, April 1, 2022 at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM officiated by Tony Caldarona.
