Allegan, MI, died Friday, December 28, 2007 at his home. Eugene was born January 14, 1968 in Allegan, the son of Butch and Sue (Strickfaden) Sherwood. Eugene graduated from Allegan High School in 1986 and had worked for his dad at Sherwood's Cove for the past 20 years, the last several as manager. He loved being around people, was quick with a joke, and always made people feel welcome. Surviving are his son, Justin; father, Butch; sister, Becky and Randy Weaver; and his fiancee, Michelle Hunt, all of Allegan; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sue Sherwood. Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday from 12 noon till 3 p.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. After the visitation friends and family will be going to the Cheshire Hills Golf Course for a time of fellowship and food. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Sue's Needy Children.
