of Hopkins died Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at Metro Health Hospital. Kevin was born December 9, 1956 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the son of Darwin and Genevieve (Flier) Manshaem. Kevin graduated in 1975 from Thornapple Kellogg High School, he was a member of the Hopkins Community Reformed Church. He was currently employed with Spartan Stores at their warehouse in Grand Rapids for the past 30 years. He loved to work on his farm where he operated a sugar bush and enjoyed growing vegetables and flowers in his garden. Surviving are his wife Carol, his two son Cody and Austin, his sister Sharon and Ron Allen of Caledonia, 2 nieces, Alex and Audrey, his step father, Al Clausen of Wayland, and his father-in-law, Clinton Scrimger of Wyoming. He was preceded in death by his mother, Genevieve Flier. Friends may meet with the family on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 am at the Hopkins Community Reformed Church. Pastor Mark Kamper will officiate. Interment Maplewood Cemetery, Hopkins Township. Memorials may be given to Kevin's sons c/o Carol Manshaem.
