Ethyl and her husband lived near Merson. Ethyl worked many years for the Perrigo Company. Pets, especially kittens, had a special friend in Ethyl. Once they retired, the couple traveled the country pulling a trailer and spent winters in Texas often taking the "scenic route" back to Michigan. Living up to the stereotype of her red hair, Ethyl was a bit feisty, even to the end while a resident at Ely Manor sending her coffee back in the mornings if it wasn't hot enough and being a fierce competitor in the bingo activities. A graveside memorial service will be held at the Lindsley Cemetery in Cheshire Township, on April 28, 2012 at a time to be announced later. She will be joined with her beloved husband, Basil. Arrangements by Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
