Allegan Twp., MI, died Thursday, April 14, 2005 at her home. Mrs. Christman was born August 2, 1919 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Frank J. and Rose A. (Mares) Stibal. She loved children and had worked as a teacher's aide with the handicapped at the Allegan Co. Developmental Center for 27 years, retiring in 1982. She also enjoyed dancing. Surviving are her husband, Dale Sr., whom she married Aug. 27, 1936; 2 children and their spouses, Dale Jr. and Susanna Christman and Shirley and Gene Milbocker, all of Allegan; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 1 sister and 1 brother, Doris Porebski and Frank Stibal, both of Allegan; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister, Milton, Ervin, and Arthur Stibal, and Blanche Christman. Friends may meet with the family from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. Pastor Herb Curry officiating.
