of Allegan, died Sunday, July 28, 2013, at the Wings Home in Allegan. Mrs. Simkins was born September 19, 1921, in Allegan, the daughter of James and Julia (Mann) Lampros. Esther was an avid reader and loved to travel with her family. Surviving are her son, David and Lorna Simkins, 4 grandchildren; Tiffany and Charles Karpiak, Patrick Simkins, Amy and Rich Calteux, and Mark Totzke, 4 great grandchildren; Tasha, Gavin, Chase, and Blake, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollie, daughter, Jeanne, sister, Gloria Heckman, brother, Bert Lampros, son-in-law, David Totzke. Cremation has taken place. There will be no public services. Private graveside services will be held at Hudson Corners Cemetery, Allegan Twp. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
