Monterey Twp., Allegan, MI, died Thursday, November 11, 2004 at the Allegan County Medical Care Facility. Mrs. Damber was born September 6, 1915 in Allegan, the daughter of Edward and Mamie (Vick) Pergande. She had been a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Surviving are 4 children and their spouses, Edward and Dorothy Damber, James and Marie Damber, all of Allegan, Thomas and Donna Damber of Burnips and Mary Ann and James Galiger of Allegan; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; 1 brother and 1 sister, Edward Pergande of Kalamazoo and Loretta (Robert) Tremaine of Allegan; daughter-in-law, June Damber, of Allegan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, in 1999, a son, John, and 3 sisters, Patricia Dunn, Frances Madalinski and Henrietta Balgoyen. Friends may meet with the family from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where the Rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Jerome M. Heyman, Celebrant. Interment in the Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church or to Allegan County Medical Care Facility, Special Needs Unit.
