Trowbridge Twp., Allegan, MI, died Monday, November 28, 2005 at the Allegan General Hospital. Mr. Thompson was born January 4, 1931 in Lee Twp., the son of Oscar and Donna (Armstrong) Thompson. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served during the Korean War. He had been employed at General Motors in Grand Rapids for more than 30 years. Surviving are his wife, Lila (Northrup); 4 stepchildren, Daniel and Elizabeth Baux of Virginia, Sharon Moreno of Florida, Brian Baux, and Paula and Kevin Reed, all of Allegan; 10 step grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren; 1 brother, George Thompson of Allegan; 3 sisters, Virginia Lindsey of Kalamazoo, MaryLou Trimm of Allegan and Marlene Craven of Parchment; 2 uncles, Robert Armstrong of Allegan and Kenneth Armstrong of Washington; several cousins. He was preceded in death by 1 sister and brother. Friends may meet with the family from 9 a.m. Wednesday until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
