Allegan, MI, died Saturday, May 19, 2007 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Mr. Anderson was born March 14, 1932 in Plainwell, the son of Ernest P. and Julia J. (Meritt) Anderson. He graduated from Allegan High School, Class of 1950 and had been a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Korean Conflict. He had been employed at Rockwell Int'l. for 37 years, retiring in the late 80's, and was a member of the Port-A-Beds Camping Group for 30 years and also a member of the American Legion. Survivinig are his wife, Colleen (Renauld); 2 children, Jeff and Melissa Anderson of Plainwell and Kim and Paul Philippus of Allegan; 5 grandchildren, Chelsi, Holly, Emma, Jack, and Danae; 2 brothers, Denver and Nora Anderson and Wayne and Sharron Anderson, all of Allegan; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Jo. Friends may meet with the family from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. Pastor Ron Bessert officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
