Allegan, MI, died Friday, May 2, 2003 at the Allegan County Medical Care Facility. Mrs. Moored was born October 31, 1910 in Diamond Springs, MI, the daughter of Ernest & Alice (Barber) Coffey. She was a graduate of Allegan High School Class of 1930 and had worked and volunteered for more than 50 years at the Allegan County Medical Care Facility. Emma was a member of the South Monterey United Methodist Church for many years. Surviving are her children, Ellen & Ron Whitcomb, Kalamazoo, Ruth Ann Gardener, Haslett, Sherm & Carol Moored and Stub & Cathy Moored all of Allegan, John & Shirley Moored, Zeeland, Alice & Bob Creech, Allegan, Bernard & Liz Moored, Allegan; 20 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Ada Krause and Irene Rutgers both of Hamilton; several nieces, nephews & cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, 2 brothers, Marion & Lewis, and 4 sisters, Lavina Moored, Ellen Kooyers, Viola Price and Dena DeFeyter. Friends may meet with the family on Monday from 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1 pm. Pastor Reva Daniel officiating.
