Allegan, MI, died Sunday, December 31, 2006 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo. Mrs. Thayer was born June 10, 1932 in Pearl, MI, the daughter of Clarence and Elsie (Hall) Norwood. Surviving are her husband, Royal; 6 children, Margaret Wright of Kentucky, Melinda (Louis) Winters of Kalamazoo, Michael Gleason of Allegan, Nancy Bailey of Colorado, Dee Finch of Tennessee and Tim (Deb) Gleason of Minnesota; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchldren; 2 stepchildren, Royal Jr. (Beth) Thayer of Otsego and Kathleen Bitzel of Allegan. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Gleason, son, John Gleason, and 7 sisters and 3 brothers. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Pastor Tom Sinkler Sr., officiating.
