of Hopkins, died Thursday, August 16, 2012, at the Wings Home in Allegan. Ellen was born May 10, 1923, in Monterey Twp., the daughter of the late, Perry and Marie (Knobloch ) Jackson. She graduated from Allegan High School in 1940, and attended County Normal, she taught in the country schools for a couple of years. Ellen and Jack were married in January of 1947. She worked for several years at Blood Brothers in Allegan, on the farm with Jack, and was Treasurer for the Village of Hopkins for many years. She was a devoted wife and mother. Surviving are her 3 children; Lisa and Edward Rewa, Sally and Keith Gebben, and Mary Linsley, 3 grandchildren; Nolan and Marie Rewa, Morgan and Andy Coon, and Miles Whitmore, 4 great grandsons; Aidan, Bryce, Colton, and Virgil, 1 brother, Jim and Jody Jackson, 1 step sister, Susan Preston, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, 2 sisters; Marjorie and Bernard Jackson, and Doris Jackson, and her brother, Wes. Friends may meet with the family on Friday, August 31, from 2 pm till service time at 4 pm, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel. A private interment at Maplewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wayland Area Emergency Medical Service, or the Wings of Hope Hospice.
