Eileen M. Davis, 91 of Allegan, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 5, 2016 at Allegan County Medical Care Community. Mrs. Davis was born June 1, 1925 in Otsego, Michigan, the daughter of the late James L. and Julia A. (Thorpe) Boylan. She was a dedicated member of Chicora Country Chapel. In her earlier days, Eileen worked at Kessler's Undies and Woolies in Wayland and also Allegan Public Schools, as a member of the custodial staff for the middle school. However, providing a loving and caring home for her family was her main priority. She was a wonderful wife and mother and did her best to create cherished memories and family moments. Living a long and fulfilling life, she will be greatly missed for her kind and generous spirit. Eileen is survived by her children: Betty Prouty, Russ and Joyce Davis, David and Cindy Davis, Ken and Robin Davis, Wanda and Elwin Wheeler; 19 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bon Davis; daughter, Ruth Ann Davis; granddaughter, Dana Jayne Davis; great-grandson, Clayton Richardson; 2 great-granddaughters: Kasie Richardson and Addie Rife; and 8 brothers and sisters, of whom she was the last of 9 children; her son-in-law, Gordon Prouty. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, September 8 from 12 - 1 PM at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where the funeral service will be held at 1 PM, Pastor Herb Curry officiating. Memorials may be made to Eileen's Family in care of Wanda Wheeler. Interment will take place at Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Township.
