Obituary

Pullman, MI, formerly of Kalamazoo, died Tuesday, August 22, 2006 in Pullman. Mr. Pergande was born September 6, 1928 in Allegan, the son of Edward and Mamie (Vick) Pergande. He had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a survivor of Pork Chop Hill. He was a life member of the Pullman V.F.W. Post #6134 and had been employed at Rockwell for 30 years, retiring in the late 1970's. Surviving are 3 children, Edward J. Pergande, Jr. of Pullman, Donna J. and David Kole of Wellston and Ruth A. Pergande and Ron Brant of Grand Junction; 5 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Lorretta and Bob Tremaine of Allegan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris, son, Douglas, and 4 sisters. Memorial services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Pastor Fred Perry officiating. Interment Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery, Kalamazoo.
