Edward Harvey Brown, 68, of Allegan, passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 17, 2016. Mr. Brown was born April 16, 1948 in Grand Rapids, MI, the son of the late Edward Jr. and Eleanor (Hotchkiss) Brown. Edward was a graduate of the Class of 1964 from South High School in Grand Rapids, MI. He went through ROTC training while in high school and served in the U.S. Navy, being a veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Brown was very proud of his service to our country and loved being associated with the Navy. He is survived by two step-children: Mark and Valerie Prange and Tena Prange; 8 grandchildren: Jack, Rachel, Jared, Trevor, Gage, Arianna, Ellie, and Maia; 2 sisters: Sheryl and Dennis Carmer, Karen and Joe Whitker. Edward was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Rich Brown and Ron Brown. A military graveside service will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Grand Rapids, MI on Thursday, August 25 at 2:00 PM, where interment will take place.
