Obituary

Jackson, MI, formerly of Allegan, passed away Monday, November 21, 2005 at Countryside Grande in Jackson. Mrs. Wallis was born July 6, 1913 in Sandwich, IL, the daughter of Albert and Marie (Hulne) Miller. She was united in marriage to Paul Wallis in 1933 and together they raised four children and were active members of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Allegan. Mrs. Wallis was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and was a loving wife and mother. Surviving are 4 children, Paul and Shirley Wallis of Reno, NV, Wanda Wallis of Kalamazoo, Cecile and Ken Spaulding of Jackson, and Kai and Patricia Wallis of Reno, NV; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; 1 sister, Alberta Carr of Normal, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul in 1981, and 1 brother and 1 sister. Friends may meet with the family from 3-7 p.m. Friday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where a Scripture Service will be held at 3 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Jerome M. Heyman, O.S.A., Celebrant. Interment in the Church Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Jackson and Oaklawn or mass cards.
