Obituary

Edna L.McGrew, of Allegan, died Saturday, January 29, 2005, surrounded by family at the home of her niece. Miss McGrew was born February 2, 1912 in Cadet, MO, the daughter of Frank & Celia (Garlock) McGrew. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Allegan and was active in the church Guild. She also attended the Burnips United Methodist Church for many years and was a member of the Rebekah Lodge #358. She worked for Red's Auto Parts for more than 50 years and enjoyed sharing her cottage on Lake Michigan with her family and friends. Surviving are 1 niece, Rena & Jerald Kamps of Burnips; 1 nephew, Emery "Skip" Brazil of Indiana; 7 great nieces and nephews, Joyce and Joe Shikary, Jan Kamps, Susan and David Cominsky, Jan and Ron "Boo" Wubbeling, Rhonda and Bill Vogt, Kay and Dean Dykstra and David and Chrissy Brazil; 14 great-great nieces & nephews and 4 great- great-great nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Rena Brazil; brother, Raymond McGrew; a great nephew, Terry Kamps; and a great-great niece, Carol Baldwin. The family will receive friends Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 am. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church of Allegan or Burnips.
