Edna N. Coffey, 90 of Allegan, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2004 in her home after a long struggle with Emphysema. Edna was born June 30, 1914 in Allegan, MI the daughter of Carl and Nettie (Adams) Allen and lived in Allegan her entire life. She was a graduate of Parsons Business School and had worked at Delano's and as the office manager at the Allegan County Health Department from where she retired. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards and traveling. Edna had traveled throughout the United States and the world, and took an annual "mystery trip" for many years. She also loved her pets. She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel J. Coffey in 1962. Surviving are 3 children and their spouses, Mary Jo (Jerome) Lubbers of Hamilton, Daniel (Vivian) Coffey of Allegan, James (Cindy) Coffey of Custer, WA; grandchildren, Randy Lubbers, Lori (Gerry) Hildenbrand, David (Amy) Lubbers, Tanya (Scott) Schaafma, Krista Coffey, Bill Pathic, Stacey (Jim) Sprau; 4 great grandchildren, Jakob, Elisabeth, Allison, and Kimberly. Edna loved her family very much and will always have a special place in their hearts. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Allegan. Rev. Fr. Jerome M. Heyman, O.S.A. celebrant. Interment Blessed Sacrament Catholic Cemetery.
