Edith M. Arndt, 92 of Allegan, died Friday, June 10, 2005 at home. Mrs. Arndt was born March 25, 1913 in Allegan, MI the daughter of Guy and Ruby (Gillette) Hale. She was a graduate of Allegan High School Class of 1931. On September 7, 1935, Edith was united in marriage to Thomas Arndt and he preceded her in death on October 4, 1969. Surviving are 1 son and his wife, Brad & Margo Arndt; 2 granddaughters, Michelle & Ricky Kelley, Lori & Rick Day; 5 great grandchildren, Andrew, Austin, and Amber Kelley, Blake Marie and Brandon Day all of Allegan; 1 sister, Mildred Wuis of Otsego; 2 brothers, H.W. Hale of Toledo, OH, and Max Hale of Brownsville, TX; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son, William D. Arndt; 1 sister, Mary June Rowe; 1 brother, Paul (Vic) Hale; 1 half brother, Earl DeShong; and 1 half sister, Hattie (Hiscock) Doster. Cremation has taken place and a private burial will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan. Arrangements by Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
