Stedman, Earl, Allegan, died Saturday, September 14, 2002 at Metron of Allegan. Mr. Stedman was born December 21, 1925 in Cheshire Twp., the son of William & Olive Collins Stedman. Earl was a Veteran of the United States Army. He worked for Clarage Fan in Kalamazoo for 20 years and for General Motors in Kalamazoo for over 21 years before retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Otsego Moose Lodge and the Allegan Eagles for many years. He loved to hunt, play cards, bingo and fix cars. Surviving are his wife Joyce E. Taylor Stedman whom he married on April 29, 1949, 5 children; Earl & Karen Stedman of Gobles, Bonnie Doublestein of Plainwell, Larry Stedman, Tina & Terry Snyder and Nancy & David Maccune all of Allegan, 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Earl was preceded in death by 1 sister, Harriet and 3 brothers, Benjamin, Henry and Lloyd. Friends may meet with the family on Monday from 1-3 pm and 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 am. Pastor Harold Hambley will officiate. Interment Millgrove Cemetery, Valley Twp.
