Allegan, MI, died Monday, August 27, 2007 at Metron of Allegan. Mr. Gardiner was born July 6, 1920 in Morley, MI, the son of William and Florence (Whipple) Gardiner. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had been employed at Menasha Corp. for 40 years. Surviving are his wife, Marie (VanBuskirk), whom he married March 3, 1943; 1 son and his wife, Doug and Lynn Gardiner of Allegan; 3 grandchildren, Christa and Carl Braun of Brighton, Joe Gardiner, and Craig and Deb Gardiner all of Allegan; 6 great grandchildren, Chase, Kinslea, Kailyn, Carly, Lindsey, and Zack; 2 sisters, Esther Stratton of Kalamazoo and Martha Wilcox of Morley. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda, 5 sisters and 1 brother. Friends may meet with the family from 4-6 p.m. Thursday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. Pastor Robert Pumfery officiating.
