age 78, of Hopkins, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 in Wyoming, Michigan. He was born October 25, 1936 in Boyne City, Michigan, the son of Frank and Nancy (Luchene) Hammond. Dwight is survived by his son Dwight Hammond III; his step-son Chris (Shanda) Kerber; his grandchildren: Maya, Helena, Aliza; his sisters: Nancy (William) Holland, Judy (Bert) Geren, Susan Fuller; his brothers: Lyman (Marlene) Hammond, Edward (Bonnie) Hammond; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his step-son Dion Kerber; and his sister Virginia (Robert) Detlaff. The family plans to have a family memorial service this coming summer in Northern Michigan. Arrangements are being made by Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel.
