Monterey Twp., Hopkins, MI, died Friday, August 19, 2005 at Metron of Allegan. Mrs. Ilmberger was born December 6, 1908 in Chassell Twp., MI, the daughter of John and Hilma (Wittaniemi) Sorvala. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Allegan, and had been a waitress at Ruby's Restaurant for 10 years. Surviving are 1 brother and his wife, Melvin and Celia Sorvala of Milwaukee, WI; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, April 23, 2003, and 2 sisters. Friends may meet with the family from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where the Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
