Allegan, MI, died Saturday, March 15, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Beals was born November 15, 1921 in Murfreesboro, AR, the daughter of Edward and Caroline (Woodall) Gardner. Surviving are 2 daughters, Georgia (William) Kiser and Fay Sherwood, both of Allegan; 6 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene E. Beals, son, Preston Payne, son-in-law, Eugene Sherwood, and 3 sisters and 1 brother. There will be no visitation. Private interment Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Kalamazoo. Memorial contributions may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
