94, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Spectrum Health Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was born on October 26, 1918, in Grand Rapids, Michigan the son of Adrian and Sarah (Brayton) Verburg. Douglas was a World War II Veteran of the Army. He was also a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Douglas is survived by his nieces and nephew: Amy (David) Hazen, Susan (Paul) Madalinski, Jeff (Maureen) Bellgraph; his sister June Bellgraph; and many other nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his three brothers and one sister. In respect to Douglas' wishes, immediate cremation has taken place. There are no services designated at this time. A private inurnment will take place at Rosedale Memorial Park, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Arrangements are being made by Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
