Douglas A. Hitchcock, 56, of Pullman, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Mr. Hitchcock was born in Allegan, Michigan on August 14, 1960, the son of the late Robert L. and Rea L. (Rininger) Hitchcock. He spent over 34 years working at Allegan Tubular. When he wasn't working, Doug loved being with his family and friends, creating many cherished memories of great times together. He also liked getting outside and enjoying nature. Many hours were spent hunting, fishing or just riding his motorcycle. Doug is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Diana; his children: Alicia Hitchcock of Otsego, Shauna Griffin of Pullman, and Jeremy Prouty of Pullman; 5 grandchildren: Morgan, Kaelynne, Bristol, Aylah and Charity; his brother, Ted (Sheila) Hitchcock of South Haven; 3 sisters: Kathy Grauman of Allegan, Debra (Gary) Binda of Crosslake, MN, and Judith (Tom) Kendall of Allegan; his mother-in-law, Bonnie (Lloyd Rayman) Kendall of Allegan; 4 brother-in-laws: Chuck (Wendy) Bier of Wisconsin, David (Char) Bier of White Cloud, Greg (Kerri) Bier of Grant, Brian (Joanna) Warren of Allegan; 3 sister-in-laws: Marge (Bernie) Polzin of Kentucky, Jamie (Jearold Bowen) Parker of Grant, Tina (James) Fox of Texas; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Michael; his brother, Tim; 2 sisters: Helen and Helen; and his father-in-law, Frank Kendall. Friends may meet with the family on Monday, October 24, 2016 from 6-8pm at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where the funeral service will take place on Tuesday, October 25 at 1pm, Rev. Dan Holly officiating.
