Dorothy M. Hanson, 94 of Schaumburg, Illinois (formerly of Allegan, Michigan) passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Hanson was born on January 21, 1923 in Bloomfield, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Fred and Elvira (Zannelli) Moglia. She married her true love, Theodore H. Hanson, and together raised their daughter, Carlene. Dorothy was a wonderful example of motherhood and showered her love on her daughter, and later her grandchildren. Her love and caring nature will be missed. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Carlene Niedermeyer; her three grandchildren, Robert and Amanda Niedermeyer, Darren Niedermeyer, and Allison Niedermeyer; and her brother, Fred Moglia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore; and her two sisters, Helen and Irene. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where the funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM.
