Allegan, MI, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at the Allegan General Hospital. Mrs. Bennett was born June 27, 1917 in Holland, MI, the daughter of George E. and Rena Belle Shaw (Flickinger) Slocum. She had lived at the Allegan County Medical Care Facility for the last several years. Surviving are 5 children, Beverly J. Humbert and Robert M. and Janet Bennett, II, all of Indiana, Garold E. and Ann Bennett and Jacqueline K. Day, all of Allegan and Marcelyn M. and Jack Freeman of Indiana; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcius. Private family graveside services will be held at Taylor Cemetery, Ganges Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to the Allegan Co. Medical Care Facility.
