Valley Twp., Allegan, MI, went to be with her Lord Dec. 30, 2002. Mrs. Lown was born June 27, 1929 in Owosso, MI, the daughter of William R. and Elizabeth (Kregger) Spencer. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church and the Allegan Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are her husband, Harold; 6 children and their spouses, Donald and Dee Shears of Allegan, Benjamin and Ruth Hungerford of Lake City, Jacqulyn J. Walker of Allegan, Gary and Linda Curtis of Allegan, Jack and Carole Shears of Fennville and Lorn Shears and Nancy Jacobsen of Allegan; her mother, Elizabeth Spencer, of Roscommon; 2 brothers and 1 sister, William J. And Tresa Spencer of Roscommon, Mildred Palmer of Corunna, Edward and Joanne Spencer of Mississippi; 25 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, William Spencer, Sr. and brother, Howard Spencer. Friends may meet with the family from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Pastor Tadd Butler officiating.
