Hopkins, died Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at the Laurels of Sandy Creek in Wayland. Mrs. Plogsterd was born March 18, 1917 in Monterey Twp., the daughter of Daniel and Elsa (Runkel) Kern. She was a very active life-long member of the Hopkins United Methodist Church. Surviving are 3 sons, Keith and Stephanie Plogsterd of California, David and Mark both of Hopkins; 2 granddaughters, Sara Nicole and Laura Evelyn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney, and brother, Melvin Kern. Friends may meet with the family on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Hopkins United Methodist Church. Pastor Linda Burton officiating. Interment Lakeview Cemetery, Hopkins Twp.
