Age 85, of Allegan, died Friday, August 2, 2002 at Harbors Health Facility, Douglas. Mrs. Cook was born January 15, 1917 in Decatur, MI the daughter of Burton and Huldah (Phillips) Polglase. She had worked as a bank teller for 30 years at the downtown bank in Allegan, starting when it was the Allegan State Bank. Art was her passion and she was an artist. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, Allegan. Surviving are 3 children, Thomas & Mary Ann Cook of Hopkins, Paul Cook of Saugatuck, Cathleen Cook of Massachusetts; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer, David, Gabriel, Bree, and Cody; 3 great grandchildren, David, Aleksander, and Logan; 1 brother, Richard Polglase of Grand Rapids. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, in 1981, 2 brothers and 1 sister. The family will receive friends Monday from 5-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. Rev. Joseph Neiman officiating. Interment Hudson Corners Cemetery, Allegan Township.
