of Allegan, died Saturday, May 21, 2011, at the Allegan County Medical Care Facility. Mrs. Adams was born April 13, 1915, in Allegan, the daughter of Earl and Nellie (Prescott) Whisler. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Allegan. Doris had worked Frost Casket Company in Allegan for over 10 years, and retired from Kal-Equipment in Otsego. She loved to bowl, knit and quilt, and enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandkids and friends. Surviving are her 2 children; Sally Adams, and Bruce and Trish Adams, all of Allegan, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Max and Joann Whisler of Allegan, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee, 2 brothers, Lyle and Bernith, and 2 sisters, Bea Myers and Barb Brown. Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday, May 24, from 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 am at the Allegan United Methodist Church. Pastor Robert Stover will officiate. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan. Memorials may be made to the Church, Allegan County Medical Care Facility, or Wings of Hope Hospice.
