Donna Lorback Funk, of Allegan, died Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at the Allegan County Medical Care Facility. Mrs. Funk was born September 23, 1921, in Grand Rapids, the daughter of William and Nona (Whitacre) Miller. Surviving are her 3 children, Nona VanderMeer of Allegan, Bill and Margaret Lorback of Shelbyville and Patricia Gillette of Allegan, 2 step children, Jane and Vince Caldarona and Donna and Bill Gurn all of Allegan, 5 grandchildren, Seth and Brandy Gillette, Sean and Amber Gillette, Jessica Lorback, Bridget and Mark Waanders and Mick Fargo, 7 great grandchildren, Brittany, Gerrit, Gage, Bradley, Bailey, Ashley and Damien, 1 brother, Jack and Karen Miller of Kalamazoo, 1 sister, Dorothy Miller of Gobles, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard Lorback and Ray Funk, 2 step children, Don and Ray Jr., 1 grandson, Kristofor Lorback. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 27, 2009 at 2 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, www.gordenfuneral.com. Pastor Herb Curry will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Allegan County Medical Care Facility or Wings of Hope Hospice.
