of Allegan, died Friday, April 30, 2010, at his home, surrounded by his family. Mr. Southwick was born October 12, 1933, in Tinley Park, IL, the son of David and Anna (Hanson) Southwick. Don graduated from Allegan High School in 1950. On August 30, 1950 Don married Ardith Warner, who survives. He worked for over 20 years at Rockwell International in Allegan, and owned and operated his electrical business, A&D Services for 30 years. Don spent a big share of his life trying to keep up with the lives of his kids and grandchildren, all of whom he prayed for often. He enjoyed watching the birds and other animals that visited his back yard, and collecting Indian artifacts. Also surviving are his 5 children; David Southwick of FL, Vicki and Roger Lambert, Ed and Jessica Southwick, Scott and Teresa Southwick and Paul and Laurie Southwick all of Allegan, 23 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, his dog "Zander", sisters-in-law, Shirley Southwick of IL, and Mercedes Hoyt of GA, his brother-in-law, Brad and Betty Warner of Allegan, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Arlo and Lyle, and 2 sisters, Mavis Severt and Arline Evans. Private services have taken place. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan. Memorials may be made to the Congregational Church Thursday night Dinner, or Wings of Hope Hospice. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
