Allegan, MI, died Thursday, March 6, 2003 at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Rapids. Mr. Morse was born November 25, 1924 in Grand Rapids, the son of Arthur & Maude (Hayes) Morse. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in WWII and had worked for Parker Hannifin, Brass Division in Otsego, for more than 20 years, retiring in 1987. He also rode for, & was a member of, the Christian Motorcyclists Assocation (CMA) Riding for the Son. Surviving are his wife, Arlene; 4 sons & their wives, Russell & Christina, John & Bonnie, Walter & Dawn and Bud & Patty all of Allegan; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Howard 'Skip' of Arizona, 2 sisters-in-law, Lorraine Morse of Niles and Dorothy Morse of Kalamazoo; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hellen. Friends may meet with the family on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. Pastor James L. Collison, from the Watson Bible Church, officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the CMA.
