Allegan Twp., MI, died Thursday, August 19, 2004 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo. Don was born December 16, 1949 in Allegan, the son of Raymond and Helen (Ochampaugh) Funk. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam Era from 1969-1971. He was a member of Christ Community Church of Allegan and was employed by Haworth in Holland for more than 20 years. He loved his family. Surviving are 1 daughter, Angie and Chris DeYoung of Schoolcraft; 1 granddaughter, Grace; Mother, Helen Funk, of Allegan; 1 brother, Raymond Funk, sister, Jane and Vince Caldarona; twin sister, Donna and Bill Gurn; special friend, Pam Funk, all of Allegan; 2 nephews, Eric and Bill Jr., and other extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father in 1999. Friends may meet with the family from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Christ Community Church. Rev. G. Patrick White officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan.
