View Photo Tribute Allegan, MI, died Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at the Allegan General Hospital. Mr. Edgerton was born February 18, 1920 in Watson Twp., the son of Milton & Jennie (Liberty) Edgerton. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in WWII and Korea. He devoted many years to the Boy Scouts and received the Silver Beaver Award. In 1978, he retired from Rockwell after 42 years of service. He was a member of the Allegan Elks Club. On June 30, 1948, Don married Gladys Kamps, who survives. Also surviving are 3 children, Charlene Edgerton of New York, Douglas Edgerton, and Deborah & Brett Herbst all of Allegan; 5 grandchildren, Michael, Laura, Charles, Joshua and Andrew; 3 brothers, Harold Edgerton of Martin, Milton & Francis Edgerton of Allegan and Sam Edgerton of Newaygo; 1 sister, Margaret & Larry Brown of Wisconsin; many nieces, nephews & cousins. He was preceded in death by his son, Donald, 2 brothers, Fred & Robert and 1 sister, Marilyn. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Pastor Al Lambert will officiate.
