BROWER, Dick Allegan, MI, died Sunday, October 12, 2003 at the Allegan County Medical Care Facility. Mr. Brower was born September 11, 1915 in Monterey Twp., MI, the son of R.D. and Savilla (Goodman) Brower. He had worked as the Supervisor of the Street Department for the City of Allegan, retiring in 1980. His family was very important to him and he was very involved in their lives, as well as the community of Allegan. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and he loved to hunt and fish. Surviving are his wife, Louise (Shoemaker), whom he married in Allegan on April 23, 1938; 1 daughter, Linda Vall of Allegan; daughter-in-law, Mary Brower of Holland; 1 granddaughter and her husband, Laurie and Gary Miles of Holland; 2 step grandchildren and their spouses, Mike and Michelle Warvel of Holland and Heidi and Robert Hambright of Texas; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, JoAnn Flora, and her family. He was preceded in death by his son, Wayne, and 1 brother and 1 sister.
