of Plainwell, formerly of Allegan, went to be with her Lord, Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Ely Manor in Allegan. Diane was born June 27, 1946, in Chicago, the daughter of the late, William and Florence (Heike) Middleton. She graduated from Allegan High School in 1964, she attended both Augustana College in IL, and Michigan State University and graduated from Western Michigan University with her bachelors in secondary education. She taught in the Plainwell School system for 6 years at the Middle School. She grew up in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Allegan, and is currently a member at Trinity Lutheran in Kalamazoo. Surviving are her husband, James, her son, Josh and Jill Maschke, her grandson, Hunter, 2 brothers; David Middleton, and Bill and Carolyn Middleton, several nieces, nephews. Friends may meet with the family on Friday, March 15, from 6-8 pm, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, at 11 am, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 504 S. Westnedge, Kalamazoo. Pastor Ken Johnson will officiate. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan. Memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church.
