Dennis Edward Orweller, 79, of Allegan, Michigan, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Ascension Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Dennis was born October 31, 1942 in Fowlerville, Michigan to the late Edward and Marjorie (Wortman) Orweller and was the husband of Betty (Hough) Orweller. He was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Allegan, teaching children's Sunday school and being an Awana leader. He coached youth soccer and baseball in the Allegan community. Even though he was an electrical engineer by trade, Dennis enjoyed growing fruit and making maple syrup. He loved to golf and spend time in nature. Being a handy person, he was always happy to help others. He was a strong man with a tender heart. Along with Betty, his wife of 52 years, he is survived by his children: Rebecca (Danny) Hough, Jonathan (Melissa) Orweller, and David (Alyssa) Orweller; nine grandchildren: Haley, Abbi, Alyxandria, Ayden, Eli, Jake, Luke, Addie and Sam; and several great-grandchildren. His funeral will be at noon on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Allegan, preceded by visitation starting at 11 am. Dennis will be laid to rest in Hudson Corners Cemetery, Allegan Township. Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
