Morris, Dennis B., of Allegan, formerly of Hopkins, died Thursday, December 6, 2012, at the Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. Dennis was born March 4, 1956, in Allegan, the son of Irvin and Barbara (Chappell) Morris. Dennis graduated from Hopkins High School in 1974, he was a volunteer fireman in Hopkins for over 15 years, and had worked as a heavy equipment mechanic with the State of Michigan and Terra Contracting in Kalamazoo. Surviving are his wife, Jodi L. Morris, his 5 children; Scott Morris, Brian and Laurie Morris, Elisabeth Morris, Kayla Washburn, and Samantha Brisbin, his granddaughter, Kaylee, his father, Irv Morris, father and mother-in-law, Cleon and Marilyn Duryea. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Morris. Friends may meet with the family on Monday, December 10th, from 1-2 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, where the service will be at 2 pm. Comer Skinner will officiate.
