Dennis John "Denny" DeVriendt, 76, of Allegan, MI passed away Monday, July 30, 2018 at his home. Born April 17, 1942 in Grand Rapids, MI, he was the son of the late Jack Matthew DeVriendt and Veronica Carolyn (Koone) DeVriendt and was the husband of Sherry Lou (Walthius) DeVriendt. Denny was a graduate of Union High School in Grand Rapids. He had worked in the printing industry for over forty-five years. Most recently Denny worked for Flashes Printing in Allegan, from which he retired. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and reading in his spare time. In addition to his wife, Denny is survived by his three children, Christine DeVriendt Karas (Tony), Kelly DeVriendt Mangus (Bob) and John DeVriendt; two stepchildren, Cinnamon Laux and Garren LaMonte; two siblings, Mike DeVriendt and Karen DeVriendt O'Dowd; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at which time a Celebration of Life will begin. Memorial donations may be made to the DeVriendt family. Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
